The case of Davit Tonoyan, Stepan Galstyan, Davit Galstyan and 4 others was sent to court

The indictment in the case of former Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, former Chief of General Staff of the Ministry of Defense Stepan Galstyan, director of the company supplying weapons to the Ministry of Defense Davit Galstyan and 4 other people has been confirmed and the case has been sent to court. Adviser to the Prosecutor General Gor Abrahamyan informs.

“The criminal case was sent to court on 7 January. According to the accusation, Davit Tonoyan – Article 179, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code, Artak Matevos Davtyan – Article 375, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, Stepan Galstyan – Article 375, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code and Part 1 of Article 314, Avetik Muradyan 3 Part 3 of Article 375 of the Criminal Code և Part 1 of Article 314, Vladimir Babayan- Article 375, Part 3 of of the Criminal Code and Article 314, Part 1, Artyom Hambaryan, Article 375, Part 3, Article 314, Part 1, David Galstyan, Article 178, Part 3, Point 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 325, part 1,” he said.

Notably, Tonoyan is accused of embezzling 2,277,323,840 AMD, falsifications, committing publicly dangerous acts. Detention against him was chosen as a measureof restraint. Davit Galstyan, the head of the company supplying weapons to Armenia, and Stepan Galstyan, the deputy chief of the General Staff, are also accused in this case, and they are also detained.

Stepan Galstyan and Davit Galstyan were arrested within the framework of the criminal case under investigation in the process of supplying ammunition for the needs of the RA Armed Forces, especially in cases of large-scale embezzlement. Davtyan was charged in the same case.
