The Republic of Armenia is in direct and multilevel relations with ally Russia.  Foreign Ministry Spokesman Vahan Hunanyan reported.

“As you know, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Russian Federation had a telephone conversation, during which Nikol Pashinyan presented the situation to Vladimir Putin. In this context, the leaders of the two countries discussed possible joint steps, the implementation of which is provided in a bilateral legal framework, in line with allied relations,” he said.

Hunanyan also touched upon the issue of applying to the UN Security Council and noted that the RA Foreign Ministry has already informed the President of the UN Security Council about the situation.

“We would like to note that in order to protect the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and sovereignty, the application of all the tools of international law and diplomatic practice is considered,” the statement reads.
