The Penitentiary Service informs that by the decision N 1834-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 11 November, 2021, amendments were made in the appendix of the N 1514-N decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 11 September, 2020 “On establishing quarantine due to coronavirus (COVID-19) disease”, which from 12 November, 2021 restricts the provision of visits to penitentiaries of the RA Ministry of Justice (except for the use of video calling).
The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice reported.
The mentioned restriction does not apply to the bodies of competent persons in connection with the implementation of their powers and functions defined by the legislation, without restricting the visits of the Human Rights Defender and his/her authorized representative, deputies of the RA National Assembly, observation groups, and lawyers.
