Yesterday’s attack was aimed at the Norshen community of Artsakh, which is closest to the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces. There were also attacks on a number of other civilian settlements in the south of Artsakh.

Azerbaijani servicemen (Armed Forces, Border Guard or other military) also commit similar criminal encroachments on the border settlements of Armenia.

In both cases, the right to life and security of civilians is intentionally violated, people’s normal lives are disrupted, the family’s ability to earn an income, free movement on the roads, etc. At the same time, there are not only shootings, but also thefts, deliberate destruction of people’s property, obstacles to agricultural work, etc.

In the case of both Armenia and Artsakh, the servicemen directly protect the right to life and security of our civilians, their right to live in peace, property, family income and other vital rights.

In both cases, the basis and source of criminal harassment, gross violations of human rights is one, the policy of anti-Armenianism and enmity of the Azerbaijani authorities, ethnic cleansing and genocide. This policy has institutional bases and, of course, in such conditions the mentioned violations will not disappear, full security will not be ensured.”
