“Awakening” National Christian Party has applied to the Constitutional Court

Today, on 02.07.2021, at 15:20,  “Awakening” National Christian Party submitted an application to the Constitutional Court to challenge the election results.

“Awakening” National Christian Party has spread a statement about it:

According to the application, the main electoral principles enshrined in the RA Constitution – freedom and equality – were violated.

Hate speech, calls for violence, use of administrative resources – other violations that affected the election results.

5 motions were submitted to the Constitutional Court in connection with requesting certain information from state bodies:

1) To NSS – to present the number of citizens who signed the lists on the day of the election, but according to the NSS data were not actually in the Republic of Armenia;

2) To the RA SRC and to the staff of the RA Prime Minister – to present the total number of persons in public service;

3) To the RA MoD – to submit information on how many servicemen participated in the elections on 20 June, 2021.

4) To the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure- to submit information on which polling stations were without electricity, for how long and for what reasons on 20 June, 2021 elections.

5) To the Prosecutor General’s Office – to submit information on how many reports on electoral crimes were received by the law enforcement agencies in the period from 25 May, 2021 through 22 June, 2021, as well as what measures were taken in accordance with the content of each of those reports, how many criminal cases were initiated and according to which article.
