After 28 years, the enemy again launched offensive battles in the same direction: Senor Hasratyan

Former head of the information and public relations department of the Artsakh Armed Forces, Colonel Senor Hasratyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Exactly 29 years ago, on this day, the Azerbaijani forces launched offensive battles along the entire Chartar-Machkalashen-Red Market (Karmir Shuka) defensive line. The advance of a large number of enemy rearguards was supported by more than a dozen armored vehicles, a re-equipped L-29 military training aircraft and MI-24 helicopters.

By choosing the direction of the main strike of the strategically important part of the Ghajar-Red Market, the enemy aimed to break through the defense of the Varanda Valley, then developing the advance to reach the capital by the Red Market-Sarushen-Shosh-Stepanakert, cut the south of Artsakh from the north. As a result of the hot battles, at 16.00 of the same day, the enemy was thrown back…

28 years after that operation, the enemy again launched offensive battles in the same direction and again the Red Market remained invincible…

Glory to all those who, at the cost of their lives and courage, managed to keep this area of great strategic importance invincible for Artsakh, both yesterday and today.”
