On the instructions of the Human Rights Defender, the Defender’s representatives, including the staff doctor, visited the persons returned from captivity in Azerbaijan yesterday. The Human Rights Defender’s staff reported.
Their health condition will be examined and other necessary actions will be taken.
It should be reminded that on 4 May, 3 Armenian prisoners of war were transferred from Baku to Yerevan.
“The plane carrying them landed at Yerevan’s Erebuni Airport. As a result of the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Azerbaijan has returned three Armenian prisoners of war amid growing international pressure. We are full of hope that this process will have its logical continuation and end soon,” the Office of Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan reported.
