On 2 May, the Head of the Operative Headquarters of the Government of the Artsakh Republic Mikael Virabyan took part in the discussions of the “Aurora” humanitarian initiative entitled “Partnership for Artsakh” in Dilijan. The Facebook page of the Operative Headquarters reported.

“Carrying out such events, which give an opportunity to raise the issues facing post-war Artsakh”, Mikael Virabyan presented the functions of the Operational Headquarters, the ongoing work to understand the further process, to distinguish the priorities in the planned activities.

Since the day of its establishment, the Headquarters has been exclusively engaged in coordinating the socio-economic problems of the displaced Artsakh people who have moved to the Republic of Armenia and settled there, accordingly, developing programs in cooperation with the relevant bodies of the Republic of Armenia.

The provision of temporary housing to the people of Artsakh continues to be a top priority for the Operative Headquarters, as well as the provision of temporary employment, despite the existing social programs.

“Now is the time for more targeted programs – housing, improvement of living conditions, creation of temporary and permanent jobs, implementation of relevant infrastructure and in general, all spheres of life and human-related sub-projects to reconnect the people of Artsakh to their homeland and especially to return them to Artsakh,” Mikel Virabyan said and took the opportunity to thank the
“Aurora” Initiative for cooperation, the relevant bodies of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Representation of Artsakh in the Republic of Armenia, individuals and organizations.

“Today, we must unite at least to overcome the challenges we face together, putting the mission of preserving our fragmented Homeland above political ambitions, finding common solutions to the various social and other problems we face. We have no other agenda. We must build the way home together,” Mikael Virabyan said in his speech.
