Pashinyan agreed with Putin on the work on the prisoners

During the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan agreed on carrying out even more intensive work on the return of Armenian captives from Azerbaijan. The Information and Public Relations Department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia reported. Pashinyan stated this at a meeting with several dozen members of the Armenian Bar Association on 7 April in Moscow.

According to the source, in response to a question on the return of prisoners, the Prime Minister stressed the need for full implementation of Article 8 of the tripartite statement of 9 November last year, according to which “there is an exchange of prisoners of war, hostages, other detainees and the bodies of the dead.”

“The Prime Minister stressed that they have full understanding with Russian President Vladimir Putin in ensuring the return of the captives and that the views on full implementation of the agreement in this direction also coincide,” the RA Prime Minister’s Office reported, adding that, according to Nikol Pashinyan, they had agreed with the Russian President to carry out even more intensive work on the prisoners.
