1382 people returned to Nagorno Karabakh accompanied by Russian peacekeepers

Accompanied by Russian peacekeepers and military police, 1,382 people returned to Nagorno-Karabakh on 19 November after fleeing the fighting. As reported by Armenpress, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement on this.

“Russian peacekeepers are providing maximum assistance to the local authorities in restoring peaceful life. Peacekeeping engineers are helping to restore traffic between social facilities, including homes, and electricity, water and gas supplies. Russian peacekeepers have ensured the safe delivery of essential food items to remote areas,” the statement said.

It should be reminded that by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 10 November, 2020, the deployment of Russian peacekeepers continues in Nagorno Karabakh. The base of the military is the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District. The commander of the peacekeepers is Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
