The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs informs:
“Responding to the statement of Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the” Bright Armenia “faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, that the citizens temporarily transferred to Armenia from Artsakh are left homeless and the ministry is not working, we have to state that the NA deputy’s statements have nothing to do with reality. All citizens who applied to the ministry for accommodation were offered accommodation. In case of their consent, their transfer to temporary shelters was organized. There are no homeless Artsakh residents in Armenia who applied to the ministry.
Besides, the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reminds:
Citizens temporarily transferred from Artsakh to Armenia who do not have temporary accommodation or a host can approach the Arabkir Youth Center at 14/1 Nersisyan Street, Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, where the Artsakh residents’ pre-location center continues to operate. It works around the clock. Citizens can stay in the center for up to 24 hours, there is an opportunity to eat, spend the night or rest. Citizens’ needs are assessed on the spot, housing applications are filled out. The center organizes the transfer of citizens to temporary shelters. The center also employs psychologists and social workers.
The 114 hotline of the ministry continues to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through which you can get the answers to your questions, necessary instructions, as well as apply for housing.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs continues to have an operative social assistance headquarters, which deals with the formation of the housing fund and the combination of needs.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia is in constant contact with the partners of Artsakh, including the Minister of State of the Artsakh Republic, for the solution of the social problems facing our compatriots in Artsakh. The Ministry is ready to support our partners in Artsakh within its powers, in case of need.”
