SIS on the arrest of Tsarukyan, Vanetsyan, Sharmazanov, Isaghulyan, Ghazinyan and others

The Special Investigation Service informs.

“High-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia, as well as other persons were arrested within the framework of the criminal case initiated in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia on the fact of organizing rallies by other persons in violation of the law They were arrested on suspicion of committing crimes envisaged:

Gagik Tsarukyan, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Garnik Isaghulyan, under the Article 307.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Suren Surenyants under the Article 225.1, Part 1 and Article 307.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Gegham Manukyan, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Davit Hambardzumyan, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Ara Sahakyan, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Artur Vanetsyan, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 and Article 307.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Eduard Sharmazanov, under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Arthur Ghazinyan, under the 307.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,

Ishkhan Saghatelyan under the 307.1, Part 1of the RA Criminal Code.

Vahagn Chakhalyan and Hrachya Ghukasyan were involved in the criminal case as suspects on suspicion of committing crimes under the Article 225.1, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code . As a precautionary measure against them, a signature not to leave was chosen.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues.”

Note: A person that is suspected or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until his/her guilt is proved by a court judgment that has come into legal effect pursuant to the procedure determined by RA Criminal Procedure Code
