The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, the parties stressed the need to ensure peace and security in the Caucasus, the press service of the Russian Cabinet reported.
“Mikhail Mishustin had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov. The Prime Ministers discussed current issues of Russian-Azerbaijani trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, and exchanged views on the implementation of major joint projects in various fields,” the statement said.
“Mikhail Mishustin noted the need for a speedy stabilization of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, the cessation of hostilities and the resumption of the political-diplomatic settlement process,” the statement said.
