Spokeswoman for the RA Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan issued a statement, which reads:

“Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired on the Vardenis military unit of the RA Armed Forces, as well as used air power in the direction of the positions.

This action of the enemy was preceded by the misinformation of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan that the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia allegedly fired rockets from the Vardenis region into the Dashkesan region of Azerbaijan. Thus, in fact, the enemy tried to prepare the ground to justify its further actions. Wait for a tough answer.”
