Today, on 4 September, the National Assembly fully adopted in the second reading the package of the draft on making changes in the law “On Ensuring the Sanitary-Epidemiological Security of the Population of the Republic of Armenia” and the related laws.

During the voting, 70 deputies voted for the legislative initiative, 19 deputies were against. The legislative initiative states that in case of outbreaks, spread of infectious diseases and emergencies, at the suggestion of an authorized state body in the field of health, the governor or the mayor may introduce quarantine in the relevant administrative department.
