On 1 September, the RA National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Stepanakert on a working visit on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Artsakh Republic, met with the President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan.

The President of the Armenian Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that years ago, with the support of all Armenians, the Armenians of Artsakh managed to realize their right to live independently at the cost of great human losses and create a statehood, for the existence and development of which the Armenian authorities assumed the greatest responsibility.

Welcoming the visit of the RA NA President to Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan stated that although no festive events will be held due to the epidemic, nevertheless September 2 does not lose the meaning of the pan-Armenian holiday, as Artsakh gained independence, realization of a great dream for all Armenians.

After the private talk, the enlarged meeting of the deputies of the “My Step” faction of the RA National Assembly with Arayik Harutyunyan took place.

Issues related to the cooperation between the two Armenian states, further expansion of inter-parliamentary ties, as well as cooperation in various spheres were discussed at the meeting.
