“The third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan convened the first press conference after his resignation in “Harsnakar” restaurant complex. He talks about the April war of 2016.
The journalists asked why the press conference was organized in that very place, taking into account the tragedy that took place in that complex years ago.
In his speech, Serzh Sargsyan mentioned that birthdays and weddings have been held in Harsnakar for several years, and if a tragic event had taken place there, why, the complex should have been closed.
It should be reminded that on 17 June, 2012, at about 11:00 pm, several military doctors, including the Vahe Avetyan, the head of the ENT department of the Ministry of Defense garrison hospital, were severely beaten in the “Harsnakar” restaurant complex belonging to RA National Assembly deputy, FFA President Ruben Hayrapetyan. He was taken to hospital with a severe head injury and underwent neurosurgery for several hours. Vahe Avetyan died on 29 July.
