The Situation in Armenia is getting worse, we have equaled to Russia, we can reach Italy: Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a regular sitting of the Commission Coordinating the Work on preventing the Spread of Coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia.

After the sitting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held an online briefing after today’s regular meeting of the Commandant’s Office. The briefing was attended by Artavazd Vanyan, Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention by the Ministry of Healthcare, and Arman Hovakimyan, Director of St. Gregory the Illuminator Hospital.

Nikol Pashinyan noted that we have already passed from Iran and France in cases of coronavirus affecting one million inhabitants, and have equaled Russia’s index.

“The reason for such a situation is the general non-observance of anti-epidemic rules and the lack of serious approach to the epidemic alarms by our citizens. If we continue at this pace, we will reach the Italian index. This rate of spread of the epidemic, regardless of the percentage of symptoms, the percentage of asymptomatic, automatically leads to severe and extremely severe cases, and the increase in deaths,” the Prime Minister said.
