We have a Coronavirus Outbreak in Armenia: Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a live Facebook broadcast that the sitting of the commission coordinating the work on preventing the spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Armenia has just ended.

“During the session, we came to a final conclusion as to why the number of cases has increased. The main reason for the increase is the industrial enterprises. More than 75% of our cases, even 80%, are registered in industrial enterprises and services. From 4 May, those institutions gradually began to open, and such a situation took place,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan noted that the government knew that the resumption of activities would lead to an increase in the number of cases, but the Commandant’s Office had clearly set safety rules, and if they were observed, there would not have been outbreaks.

He noted that currently we have a coronavirus outbreak in Armenia, however Armenia is on the list of countries with the lowest inflation.

“The biggest cases of infection have been registered in the banking system. Within the framework of the 9th event, the citizens had to go to the banks to get support. There was no other way to find those citizens. “Those people went to the banks, the banks did not follow the safety rules in any case, and it turns out that with our help we” helped “people and became infected,” the Prime Minister said.
