Sofia Hovsepyan, a member of the National Assembly, referred to the 11th measure taken by the government to neutralize the economic consequences of the coronavirus, by which the citizens who did not exceed the expenditure in February 2020 for the consumption of natural gas – 10,000 AMD, the state will provide 50% of the amount paid.

“In the regions, people who burn wood means they have been able to buy 1 cubic meter of wood for 20-25,000 drams, or if they can have fuel from waste all year round, it means they have an average of 5 or more cattle (they will live by selling milk). This means that less percent of these people need 7500 drams.

Let’s take into account the fact that many places are not gasified and electricity consumption cannot exceed 5,000 drams.

Today, I would like to offer this support to large families or families with many children, as well as to the elderly living alone, where it is not much support, but it is a relief. I think this is a possible solution to this problem, if I am wrong, suggest other options.

This is also a small opportunity to have a lot of children. Even if some large families with enough profit benefits from the program, it will make me happy, because those families have also thought about our demographics (and not only that).”
