The Request for 8.5 Billion Drams has been approved for Businesses: Discussions on Anti-Crisis Measures continue

The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continued to discuss with the government the solution of the socio-economic problems caused by the coronavirus.

First of all, they referred to the economic measures taken by the government to neutralize the problems caused by the coronavirus. In particular, it was reported that a request for 8.5 billion drams to provide credit resources to businesses on preferential terms has already been approved. Compared to the previous day, this volume has increased 3 times. It was noted that the discussion of applications for the use of credit programs is continuing on a large scale, and the number of users and the amount of assistance provided will continue to expand.

Prime Minister Pashinyan praised the ongoing process and noted that it once again proves that the government’s anti-crisis measures are being implemented successfully.

Then they discussed the “Co-financing of Own Capital” program developed by Armenian National Interests Fund (ANIF). An exchange of views was held on the program, various observations and suggestions were presented.

The Prime Minister instructed the officials to continue discussions on the implementation of the program in order to assess its effectiveness.
