The operative group formed by the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations held the regular meeting within the framework of the fight against Coronavirus chaired by the Minister of Emergency Situations, during which a number of issues were discussed by all the departments of the Ministry of Emergency, ranging from the application of necessary protective measures to the organization of disinfection. Rescue units will be provided with masks and gloves.

The areas and techniques of fire-rescue teams are regularly disinfected. According to the report of the Deputy Chief of Operative Group, Chief of the General Staff, Major General Vrezh Gabrielyan, all units of the Service are ready to carry out their tasks and, if necessary, will assist the public and state bodies. In the period of 16-22 March, the Ministry of Emergency Situations National Center for Crisis Management received 233 calls about the coronavirus.

The specialists provided an individual approach to each call and provided appropriate advice. The Psychological Assistance Unit works on a 24-hour schedule. The Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Harutyunyan gave instructions to the participants of the meeting, the Deputy Minister urged to apply all necessary efforts to properly organize and implement the above mentioned actions in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic in the republic. The Ministry of Emergency Situations works closely with all agencies.
