The Supreme Judicial Council informs that in view of the need to ensure the proper functioning of the courts within the framework of measures aimed at preventing the coronavirus in the country and the existing legislative opportunities, cameras and projectors have been provided to all courts of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Article 145 of the Civil Procedure Code, to ensure the use of multimedia telecommunications for the purpose.

Appropriate engineering work is currently underway to introduce a system that enables the provision of audio communications through the installation of the necessary audio equipment in at least one courtroom in each court.

The launch of the court hearings by means of telecommunication will take place in upcoming days.
