The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs that in view of the epidemic situation caused by a new type of coronavirus, the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Visa Free Visits” has been temporarily suspended.
According to another decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, since 7 March, Iranian citizens are required to obtain an entry visa in advance to visit Armenia, which requires applying to the RA Embassies/Consulates in foreign countries or obtaining an entry visa through the E-VISA electronic system.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Islamic Republic of Iran is operating in an emergency regime, therefore the consular admission has been temporarily suspended, and the visa can only be obtained through the E-VISA system in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
