The total number of people infected with coronavirus in the world is 90,800. SCMP informs.

The highest number of cases has been reported in China, followed by South Korea (4335), Italy (2036) and Iran (1501). 128 people have died from the virus outside China. In total, 3116 people died in the world.

As of 3 March, 125 new cases of infection have been reported in mainland China, according to the country’s National Health Commission. Thus, as of December 2019, the number of registered infections is 80,151. Authorities report 31 fatalities, all in Hubei. The total death toll is 2,943. 47,204 people have recovered.

There are more than 40,600 people under medical supervision who have been in close contact with patients. There are 151 new confirmed cases of out-of-China – 100 in Hong Kong (2 people died), 41 in Taiwan (1 death) and 10 in Macao.
