Today, the government approved the draft presented by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan, which foresees to organize and hold awards ceremony for the top 10 athletes in 2020 and allocate 5 million AMD to each athlete.
The awards will be given to the top 10 athletes listed below:
- Arthur Aleksanyan – Greco-Roman wrestling
- Ruben Aleksanyan – Weightlifting
- Arthur Avetisyan – Gymnastics
- Hovhannes Bachkov – Boxing
- Slavik Gasparyan – Greco-Roman wrestling
- Tigran Kirakosyan – Sambo
- Arsen Harutyunyan – Freestyle wrestling
- Simon Martirosyan – Weightlifting
- Gor Minasyan – Weightlifting
- Hakob Mkrtchyan – Weightlifting.
The draft also stipulates that from now on, the monthly allowance for the world champions will increase from 55,000 to 100,000 AMD, and the Olympic champions will receive 200,000 AMD.
