Kutoyan’s Wife has left a note in the Investigative Committee: The IC has no right to publish any Data without her Consent

Former Director of the National Security Service Georgi Kutoyan’s wife has left a note in the Investigative Committee using her legal successor powers.

Iravaban.net learned this from Naira Harutyunyan, Head of the of Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee.

According to the latter, Kutoyan’s wife has left a note in the Investigative Committee not to disclose any information without her consent.

“She has used her right of successor, they have no right to publicize anything without her consent,” Harutyunyan said.

Responding to the statement made by IC Chairman Hayk Grigoryan on 28 January that Kutoyan’s suicide was based on personal motives, Harutyunyan noted that there was nothing to add to that statement.

Notably, on 17 January, in one of the apartments on P. Sevak Street, the body of Kutoyan with gunshot wounds was found. In the former NSS director’s apartment a “Glock” pistol that belonged to him was found as well. A criminal case has been instituted.

Kutoyan was appointed NSS Director in 2016 under Serzh Sargsyan’s decree and was released in May 2018 after the revolution.
