On 16 December meeting, the Council of Elders of Yerevan discussed the issue of setting the hours of silence and nighttime stillness by persons engaged in trade and services in the administrative area of Yerevan.
The draft justification states that, pursuant to Article 12 (1) (24.1) of the Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan, the Council of Elders of Yerevan defines the objects of trade and services in Yerevan by their locations, trade and hours provided by persons active in the field of services in silence or at night (from 22.00 to 7.00, from 23.00 to 7.00 and from 24.00 to 7.00).
A draft of this decision has been developed to meet the requirement of the above law. The relevant circulars were sent to 12 administrative districts of Yerevan with a view to setting the time of silence or nighttime stillness in Yerevan from 23.00 to 7.00.
Note, that if the decision is made, it will come into force on the tenth day after its official publication.
