During the discussion of the program presented by the government at the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to MP Ani Samsonyan’s question on the closure or relocation of the probation service and the “Nubarashen” penitentiary, saying that the government has plans to close the “Nubarashen” penitentiary.

“The probation service is not as effective. I, as a former convict and who has spent a long time in a penitentiary, am not sure that these methods can ever have a result. We need to understand this situation very well so that we can solve the problem. Everything should be done to make that structure effective,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
