It was logical for the Central Electoral Commission that extraordinary elections would be held, and this allowed early start of preparations for the elections.
CEC Secretary Armen Smbatyan said this at the CEC informational center.
According to Armen Smbatyan, in connection with the registration of the Parties and the MP candidates, the Central Electoral Commission has rejected only one person’s application to nominate as a candidate for deputy.
He noted that an extensive program was implemented for the fight against election bribes. Many billboards have been stuck in different parts of the country for rejecting election bribes, and several video clips have been shot and distributed.
