The Central Electoral Commission has not received any application or complaint within the framework of the organization and conduct of the elections before the elections of Yerevan City Council of Elderly on extraordinary elections.

Lilia Hakobyan, Head of the Legal Department of the Central Electoral Commission, said this at the Information Center Central Election Commission on September 23.

“We had suggestions, applications, information inquiries, as well as numerous phone calls, many letters left to the CEC official e-mail,” she said.

Lilia Hakobyan mentioned that only one application was received regarding the work of one of the precinct electoral commissions, which was the organizational issue. According to her, the problem was immediately resolved.

Most of the CEC inquiries were related to the voting procedure of those outside the country, it was noted that the Electoral Code does not allow citizens to vote outside the Republic.
