The Police of the Republic of Armenia declares that it has made a decision to terminate the assembly, including in the Republic Square, in which the participants of the gathering must fulfill their responsibilities under Article 30 of the RA Law on Freedom of Assembly, in particular, to refrain from actions aimed at hindering the natural process of the assembly. In case they are removed from the assembly, immediately leave the place of the gathering and immediately leave the place if the assembly is stopped.

In the event of failure to fulfill these duties, the Police shall be entitled to conduct arrests as well as to take action. We call to the assembly participants to perform these duties and other legitimate demands of the police officers. The police urge parents not to exclude their juveniles from supervision, as the police continue to hold public order safeguards.

We ask journalists to demonstrate mutual understanding to carry out their professional activities so as not to hinder the police officers’ actions.
