At the moment all the streets leading to Baghramyan Avenue are closed. Police are standing in front of the Constitutional Court with barriers. The police, also has made a chain and blocked the streets leading to Moscovyan street.
The work of the subway is disturbed; the trains do not stop in metro station “Marshal Baghramyan”.
Traffic is paralyzed in the central parts of the city; actions are taking place on bridges and subway stations.
Shortly before the Yerevan Mayor issued a statement informing that metro trains will not stop at the station due to the technical regulation of the escalators of Marshal Baghramyan station on Yerevan Metro after Karen Demirchyan.
It should be noted that civil disobedience actions are taking place in Yerevan since 8:15 am today. Yesterday, the head of the “Civil Contract” party, MP Nikol Pashinyan called on civil disobedience. These protests are being held against Serge Sargsyan’s appointment to the post of the prime minister.
