The citizen applied to the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia with the issue of working conditions. The Staff of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia reported this.
According to the application addressed to the Defender, the applicant had worked for many years in one of the Yerevan libraries, but the director moved the employee to another branch for unreasonable reasons. According to the citizen, the fact of disability and the difficulties for reaching the other building were ignored. In addition, the request to move to the former building was denied.
Recording a restriction on the exercise of a citizen’s labor rights, the Defender’s Office transferred the case to Yerevan Municipality for consideration.
As a result of collaboration with the municipality, the librarian was employed at the former workplace.
