Almost all MP’s who held speeches at the NA session criticized Karen Andreasyan’s resignation without explanation.
Meanwhile, the MP Heghine Bisharyan defended Karen Andreasyan. She noted that persecution of the former HR Defender had started after the Constitutional Referendum. “The Human Right’s defender had to stand this alone. Some inviolable people are unable to protect their rights. How could the unprotected Ombudsman do it? It is really annoying that the President’s candidate faced such approachof his close surrounding and partners who had voted for and supported Karen Andreasyan,” Ms Bisharyan said and advised to show a serious approach to the fact of resignation.
