The Special Investigation Service reports that citizen Samvel M. gave a communication on the fact that from March 1, 2014 till January 28, 2015 having worked as a forester at Khachardzan forest area protection division of “Ijevan Forestry” branch of “Hayantar” SNCO of RA Ministry of Agriculture, being endowed with the powers of protection of the forest resources trusted to him, discovering and recording forestry violations, during the period from May 2014 to August 2014, on instruction of the forestry head of the same forest area Gigush D. permitted Samvel S. to cut unlawfully about 105 trees of different varieties and diameter and to transfer the wood in a truck.
At the same time, Samvel M. mentioned that with the purpose of concealing the mentioned illegal cutting of trees he sealed the stumps with the stamp he had with him, whereas for consumption of each consignment of wood the forestry head Gigush D. demanded and received from Samvel S. 260 thousand RA drams as a bribe.
Besides, Samvel S. gave a communication at Ijevan Division of RA Police Tavush Marz Department on the fact that in the forest resources of the mentioned SNCO for illegal cutting of numerous trees and owning the wood on demand of the forestry head Gigush D. during July-August months of 2014 he gave the letter a bribe from 650 thousand RA drams to 800 thousand RA drams.
On the incident a criminal case was instituted at RA Investigation Committee Tavush Marz Investigation Department pursuant to parts 1, Articles 179, 296, point 3, part 3, Article 311 and part 2, Article 312 of RA Criminal Code.
During the preliminary investigation Samvel S. was charged pursuant to part 1, Article 296 and part 2, Article 312 of RA Criminal Code, Gigush D. was charged pursuant to point 3, part 3, Article 311 of RA Criminal Code and Samvel M. was charged pursuant to part 1, Article 179 of RA Criminal Code.
Subsequently, conditioned by the factual circumstances of the case, starting from necessity of guaranteeing complete, impartial and multi-sided investigation, the criminal case was sent to RA Special Investigation Service for investigation.
