On 5 July, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative districts made a decision on A.Budaghyan’s detention. The decision was made by the judge Gagik Poghosyan. A. Budaghyan and three other persons are accused assassination attempt against the governor of Syunik marz Surik Khachatryan and his companion.
A. Budaghyan’s defender Hayk Alumyan appealed the court decision, because, as we have already informed, according to the defender the decision on detention was completely baseless. In the interview with Iravaban.net Hayk Alumyan mentioned that the Court of Appeal has not set a day for the hearing yet. They are waiting for the hearing, so as to be presented.
According to the defender the court had no juridical basis to make such a decision.
