A convict of RA Ministry of Justice “Nubarashen” Penitentiary gave a communication on the fact that previously he served his sentence at “Hrazdan” Penitentiary, where the official of the establishment didn’t take measures to prevent the attempt of transferring narcotic drugs to the mentioned penitentiary by another convict, while, after transferring the narcotic drugs into the territory of the establishment, the official exerted psychological pressure upon him compelling him to confess the circumstance that the narcotic drugs allegedly belonged to him.
On the basis of the convict’s communication on incident of exceeding official powers by a person carrying out special service a criminal case is instituted at RA Special Investigation Service by features of part 1, Article 309 of RA Criminal Code.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offense is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
