Citizen Karine Sh. gave a communication in RA Police Internal Security Department on the fact that on May 18, 2015 at about 01:30 am. her husband and his relative were brought to RA Police Masis Division on suspicion of keeping and using narcotic drugs. For not instituting criminal proceedings against them the person carrying out special service at the mentioned division demanded through an intermediary a bribe of 1000 US dollars. On the same day at about 2:00 pm. Karine Sh. handed part of the sum – 400 thousand RA drams to him through the intermediary in the surroundings of the division and made an arrangement to hand the rest of the sum later.
On the basis of citizen Karine Sh’s communication, on incident of giving a bribe of large amount to an official carrying out special service through an intermediary and on receiving by the latter of the bribe of large amount through an intermediary a criminal case was instituted at RA Special Investigation Service pursuant to part 2, Article 312, part 1, Article 313 and point 3, part 3, Article 311 of RA Criminal Code.
