On 18-19 May 2015, An International Meeting on Effectiveness of Corruption Prevention Measures, which was Organized by the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (OECD ACN) and OSCE, took place in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia.
Representatives of Anti-Corruption agencies from 19 countries, senior officials, representatives of CSO Networks attended the meeting. Ms Naira Gyulnazaryan and Ms Kristine Aghayan from OSCE Yerevan Office, Mr. Vrezh Kardumyan, the Acting Head of the International Relations Department of the RA President’s Staff, Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association NGO, Coordinator of the Secretariat of CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of the RA attended the meeting as well.
Mr. Davor Dubravica, Chairman of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative, Ms. Olga Savran, ACN Manager of OECD Anti-Corruption Division, Mr. Roel Janssens, the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities, and Ambassador Branimir Mandić, Director of RACVIAC–Centre for Security Cooperation.
Then the Minister of Justice of Croatia; Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland; the Vice Chair of Board of Directors of Transparency International of the Russian Federation held speeches.
In his speech the President of the Council of Europe’s Group of States against corruption (GRECO) mentioned that the more funds each state will invest for the fight against corruption the more effective result it will achieve.
During the meeting the participants discussed the methodology for monitoring and evaluation of implementation of National Anti-Corruption Strategies and Action Plans developed by the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative; good practices from across the region in developing and implementing in practice tools to assess the effectiveness and outcomes of anti-corruption measures and policies, and other issues.
