On May 5, the RA Chamber of Advocates hosted the delegation of the Moscow Chamber of Advocates headed by Henry Reznik, the First Deputy President of the Chamber. He was accompanied by Nikolay Kipnis, member of the Qualification Committee of the Moscow Chamber of Advocates and Yuri Chanchuryan, Advocate of the Chamber.
Ara Zohrabyan, the Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of the RA, welcomed the Russian partners in Armenia and in the RA Chamber of Advocates, and presented the activities of the Chamber. Henry Reznik appreciated the unity of the Armenian advocates and stated that coordination of this issue in Russia is rather difficult on the assumption of the fact that there are ove 9000 practicing advocates only in Moscow city.
The Russian delegation made a tour in the RA Chamber of Advocates and got acquainted with the capacity of the School of Advocates and the Office of Public Defender.
During the expanded meeting with the Armenian advocates, they discussed the issues related to the activities of advocates, including client confidentiality and specifics of the institute of public protection.
The parties discussed a number of other issues of mutual interest as well.
