During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case instituted pursuant to point 1, part 3, Article 311 of RA Criminal Code in RA Special Investigation Service on materials received from RA Police General Department of Combating Organized Crime, RA Investigation Committee Senior Investigator of Especially Important Cases Armen S. was detained on suspicion of demanding and receiving a bribe of large amount. During the preliminary investigation it was ascertained that in the end of April 2014 the investigator of RA Police former GID Investigation Division, carrying out special state service, by the criminal case being in his proceedings demanded a bribe of large amount – 2 thousand US dollars, equivalent to 826 thousand RA drams through Misak S.’s father not to detain Karapet M. and the latter’s friends – Misak S. and a certain Robert, to chooserecognizance not to leave as a measure of restraint towards them, and managed to receive a part thereof from the parents of the persons passing by this case.Preliminary investigation is in progress.
