Preliminary investigation on the case of Khachatur Khachatryan, the former judge of the Court of General jurisdiction of Lori Marz continues. Karen Tumanyan, the advocate of the detained judge infirmed. He also said that no actions had been taken with regard to the case of his client.
To our question whether the judge continued to exercise his right of science Mr. Tumanyan said, “Everything is unchanged since the last publication.”
According to information of the NSS, Khachatur Khachatryan had requested and received a bribe of 20.000USD for making a favorable decision on the civil case of a businessman in his procedure. The NSS of the RA has initiated a criminal case under the requirements of Clause 2 and 3 of Part 4 of Article 311 of the Criminal Code of the RA. Advocate Karen Tumanyan informed that the Judge had pleaded himself not guilty.
