The Eurasian Economic Union Trearty has entered into force for the Republic of Armenia since 2 January 2015. The Treaty creates essentially simplified conditions for the migrant workers of the member states. The major part of migrant workers from Armenia – 96% leave to the Russian federation, and thus the changed in migration legislation of that country has a direct impact upon our citizens; informs the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Services of the RA.
In order to solve the problems of such citizens the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Services of the RA and the RF Migration Service reached an agreement, according to which the applications on lifting the ban on entry to RF will be gathered and provided to the Russian side.
Gagik Yeganyan is on a business visit to the Moscow on the instruction of the RA TAES Minister Armen Yeritsyan to discuss these issues with the Russian side on 11-13 February.
