The Investigation Department of Avan and Nor Nork Administrative District of the Yerevan Investigation Department carry out investigation to disclose all circumstances of causing the craniocerebral injuries to the 9-year-old boy and putting the flat on the fire. Iravaban.net learned this from the Investigative Committee of the RA.
We had informed earlier that on 9 February at 05:20, a conflagration took place in apartment 48 of 23/1 Gyulikekhvyan street. Anna Badalyan, DoB 1968 and her 9-year-old son were hospitalized with burns. Anna Badalyan, with 4th degree burns all over the body and her son with an open open craniocerebral trauma and burn in different parts of body.
As a result of additional examination of the scene new evidences were obtained proving that the grievous bodily injury of the son were caused by the mother.
Specifically, on 9 February 2019, at about o4 o’clock, Anna Badalyan locked the door and shut the windows of their flat, and then with an intention of killing, blows her teenage son with hammer in the head. She made many blows.
The blows caused open craniocerebral traumas to the child. Further with the aim to finish the intentional murder the woman set fire in the apartment. However she couldn’t finish the crime as the fire brigade put of the fire and took the mother and the son out of the flat.
Based on the obtained evidence a criminal case was initiated with charge of an intention of the mother to kill the child and to willful destruction of property.
Investigators found and seized a hammer with traces of blood and plastic containers with the smell of petrol.
Measures are being taken to ensure the comprehensive examination of the case.
