NKR Police informs that on 31 January, 2015, the members of “Founding Parliament” organized a car rally to Artsakh, which caused a negative response among the public of Artsakh and a large part of the public decided to prevent the march participants to enter the territory of NKR.
Considering these circumstances and possible violations of public order, the police set posts in some parts of the highway Goris-Stepanakert. Meeting the participants of the march police carried out explanatory work with them, urging them to refrain from that initiative, as it caused tension among the public in Artsakh. However, a group of participants of the march, in the contrary, applied illegal actions and provocations and continued these even after the police warnings.
In order to prevent the possible mass riots the NKR Police had to undertake appropriate actions under such circumstances within the framework of powers provided by law. Unfortunately, there are people, who suffered, however it is not dangerous for life.
NKR police will provide additional information about the incident.
