On 20 January, at 03:00am, the enemy undertook subversive-reconnoitering attempt in the direction of Karvachar defense line of the NKR-Azerbaijanian contact line.
The Press service of NKR Defense Army informs that the Armenian frontier units detected the enemy in time and threw them back to their original positions and caused losses to the latter.
Unfortunately during the battles our soldier Nahapet Asatryan, DoB 1932 was killed and Hovhannes Gasparyan DoB 1973 was wounded.
NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of loss and expresses its condolences to N. Asatryan’s family, relatives and colleagues.
An investigation is underway to determine the details of the incident.
