Russia will enhance the Internal Disciplinary Regime in the Russia’s 102nd Military Base

The information Center of Gyumri Municipality reports that today on 18 January, Samvel Balayan, the Mayor of Gyumri invited a consultation meeting. S. Merzlikin, Acting Commander of the Russian border troops, A. Rudzinski, Commander of the 102nd Russian Military Base, and A. Grigoryan, Deputy Chief of Police of Shirak marz attended the meeting as well.

According to the source, the agenda included discussion of the important issues aimed to reduce the tension, and to avoid excessive speculations and provocative intentions.

The Russian side was recommended to enhance the internal discipline, carry out explanatory work, and to immediately report the corresponding authorities about the issues and problems, as well as to inform those to the Gyumri municipality.

In response, the Russian side mentioned that they agree with the recommendations of the Mayor and we3re ready to increase control and to take appropriate measures to solve the above problems.
