The leading specialists that had arrived to Armenia on recommendation of Veronika Skvortsova, the RF Minister of Health, among them Valeri Amchislavski, the head of Pediatric Intensive Care Department of the Research Institute for Trauma and Emergency Surgery, Valentine Palm, head of Resuscitation Department of Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital Yelena Ilyina, head of Pediatric Neurology department of the same hospital, visited the six-months old Seryozha Avetisyan just after the arrival, informs the RA Ministry of Health
The source reports that Armen Muradyan held the regular two hours council of physicians with the leading Russian and Armenian specialists at St. Astvatsatin Medical Center. Vilyam Khachatryan, a renowned neurosurgeon, head of the Children’s Neurosurgery Clinic of Neurosurgery Research Institute after Polenov of St. Petersburg, who had operated on the child two days before participated in the council as well.
Anna Cobnayan, head of the children’s department of the medical center reported on the process of the child’s treatment, as well as the order and sequence of the medical interference.
The specialists from Russia were pleased with the undertaken activities aimed at the treatment of the child. They noted the importance for stabilizing the child’s condition in this stage as well as neutralization of the further complications, which will lead to the recovery of the brain functioning. “We need to understand that at this point we must not strive great and cardinal changes, but we need to achieve gradual positive developments,” Valeri Amchislavski said and added that the stabilization of the child’s vitally important functions was important as well.
Today the Russian and Armenian specialists will hold another council of physicians to discuss the future process of the child’s treatment and the necessary arrangements.
The minor’s health condition remains stable grave.
