According to information of the Press Service of NKR Defense Army in the period of 5 – 6 January, the enemy violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line of NKR and Azerbaijanian troops around 320 times. During that period the enemy made around 5000 shots towards the Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different calibers. The enemy’s armed forces used 60 and 82 mm grenade launchers as well.
The communication informs that the frontier troops of the Defense Army undertook response actions to suppress the enemy’s actions. As a result at least three soldiers of the Azerbaijanian forces were killed. According to reliable sources, one of the killed is Eldar Mamedov, second lieutenant of the 703rd brigade of Azerbaijanian Army. Identity of the other two is being checked.
Throughout the whole length of confrontation line the frontier troops of the defense Army continue to successfully fulfill their tasks and carry out restrictive actions if needed.
